Make a Difference
Make a difference in the life of a girl by becoming a Girls Inc. volunteer! Volunteers are able to help with a variety of activities ranging from special events to service projects to curriculum facilitation. There are also many opportunities for internships within the agency.
Volunteers and interns play an important role in our agency. Not only do they help with special events and deliver important programs to girls, they also serve as role models and help accomplish our mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold!
To become a Girls Inc. Volunteer/Intern you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete volunteer application packet and submit $2 background check fee
- Submit TB test results
- Attend Girls Inc. 101 Training
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to have a joyful approach to children, adolescents and families of diverse cultures
- Adhere to the agency dress code
- Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and encouragement for populations served
- Conduct oneself in a manner that is consistent with a positive role model for young girls
- Commit to our mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold!
