Annette Rodriguez, President/CEO

Passionate about girls’ success and education, Annette was instrumental in founding Girls Inc. of San Antonio.  Under her direction, the organization has received state awards for innovative programming; implemented initiatives to strengthen girls focus on science, math, engineering and technology and caused her agency to receive 100% compliance in a record two years time to become a full-member affiliate of the National organization. 

Annette Rodriguez is a native of San Antonio, born in 1972. She graduated from McCollum High School and attended Our Lady of the Lake University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and her Masters of Science in School Psychology. She is currently enrolled in the Executive M.B.A. program at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Ada Soto, Program and Curriculum Manager

Ada Soto, Director

Ada Soto is the Director of Girls Inc. of San Antonio. Ada graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. While an undergraduate, Ada was on the Dean�s Honor Roll, Vice President of the UIW Psychological Society, and worked as a tutor and mentor for the TRIO Student Success Program. After graduation she worked as an Academic Counselor for UIW Disability Services, before accepting her current position at Girls Inc. of San Antonio. Ada is currently pursuing her Master�s of Arts degree in Community Counseling at the University of Texas at San Antonio and, in her spare time, enjoys playing with her two dogs, Marley and Simon.

Brittany Cheatwood, Special Projects Manager

Brittany Cheatwood has worked for Girls Inc. as the Special Projects Manager since June 2006. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Communications. She enjoys her work, advocating on behalf of girls and passionately supports the mission of Girls Inc.

Brittany was born and raised on the Northside of San Antonio, graduating from Communications Arts HS on the Taft HS campus. She enjoys traveling, going to movies, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.

Estella Fonseca

Estella Fonseca, Team Leader of Adolescent/Child Services

Estella M. Fonseca is the Team Leader for Adolescent/Child Services. She has been in this position since August 2006. Prior to this position, she was a homebound teacher for Project MAS. Before coming to work at the Children’s Shelter, Estella was a secondary math teacher in the San Antonio Independent School District. She retired in May 2001 after 29 years of teaching.

Estella is a native of San Antonio. She graduated from Burbank High School in 1968 and received her BS in mathematics in 1972 from Southwest Texas State University. She also received a MA in guidance & counseling in 1996 from Texas A&M at Kingsville.  She has worked part-time as an adjunct professor for St. Philips College for the past ten years.



Kimberly McWilliams, Team Leader of Social Work Services

Kim joined the Girls Inc. team in 2006 as the Team Leader of Social Work Services for Project MAS. She is passionate about empowering and advocating for youth in the community.  She is a graduate of Ohio State University where she completed a dual degree in Psychology and Social Work and continued on for her Masters in Social Work.  She is fairly new to the San Antonio area but has quickly fallen in love with the culture and community.

Mary Jane Zavala-Padron

Mary Jane Zavala-Padron, Supervisor PMAS South

Mary Jane is the newest member of the Girls Inc. team.  She has an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Pan American University.  She is also a Licensed Social Worker for the State of Texas.  She shares her joy with others through her work as a professional clown and is passionate about working with people of all ages.  Her favorite past times are: running, reading, doing missionary work, traveling and spending time with family. She is also a strong advocate against domestic violence and child abuse.
